Review of Simpatico by Dermot Davis

Simpatico: They Will Never Tear Us Apart: A Novel of Romantic Suspense by Dermot Davis

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Young Love Thwarted - Maybe!

Dermot Davis certainly lives up to the accolades! Simpatico drips with young love thwarted in its opening bloom by a powerful man and his lust for greater occult power. Fiona and Andrew fight to make their self-acclaimed vows of love a reality against all odds. Most surprising to me in Simpatico is the author’s detailed knowledge of the occult, astral communication, the third-eye and how he cleverly weaves this information into the serpentine plot. Details about prison life make this reader wonder where the author managed to glean such terrifying features about gangs and fear inside. I won’t let you know how it ends, but mark my words, you’ll be surprised. Well worth the read. Pick it up if you want to feel what it’s like to be young and in love, but get ready to experience a creatively imagined and suspenseful world most people would never even dream of seeing.
